The developer has chosen to raise the summer house, annex and terrace above the ground. This way, they will be better protected if the water level were to rise again like back in December 2013, when the storm Bodil hit Denmark with major floods as a result. BAYO.S screw foundations are mounted directly through existing substructures. Do not excavate and pour concrete. This means that the nature surrounding the building is spared and extensive re-establishment is avoided. Biodiversity in the area is preserved. “This is definitely not the last time that screw foundations from BAYO.S will be designed,” says the client’s architect Erik Jensen.
